Telefonik (“the App”) is developed as a default phone and dialer application by DaneKom (“the Developer”). This Privacy Policy explicitly explains how the App accesses, handles, and protects sensitive user data and device permissions.
The Developer is committed to protecting your privacy. The App operates strictly offline-first. It does not collect, harvest, store externally, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive information. All data processing happens locally, in real-time, on your physical device.
For the avoidance of doubt, the App does not request, access, or process any SMS or text messaging permissions (such as READ_SMS or SEND_SMS) and does not handle any message data.
To function correctly as a default phone application, the App requires access to certain sensitive device permissions. These permissions are requested strictly in-context and are used solely to deliver the app's core features:
Purpose: Required to display your call history, organize logs chronologically, merge consecutive calls, and allow you to delete call entries directly within the App. This data remains completely local to the device's secure store.
Purpose: Used to display contact names and circular avatars alongside phone numbers in your history and search results. It also enables looking up contacts to populate search parameters and inserting new contacts into the system address book.
Purpose: Necessary to initiate outbound cellular telephone calls directly from the dialer keypad or history screen without requiring mid-action redirection.
Purpose: Required to monitor current call states (e.g., detecting an incoming ringing state or active connection) to trigger system overlays, persist call timers accurately, and handle standard phone behavior.
All sensitive data exposed via the APIs mentioned above is utilized in real-time solely to execute features initiated directly by the user, specifically:
No accessed data is ever uploaded, cached on external infrastructure, or sold.
The App contains no ad networks, no analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics), and no tracking components. Personal or sensitive data accessed through permissions is never sold nor shared for any purpose facilitating marketing, sale, or telemetry.
The App does not knowingly target, interact with, or collect data from children under the age of 13. Since no data collection occurs, the App remains fully compliant with COPPA and global privacy regulations.
Because the App operates without any backend infrastructure, cloud servers, or network transmission layers, there is no threat of data breaches on external servers. All personal information remains protected by the native security boundaries of the Android operating system on your device.
The Developer may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to maintain compliance with changing Google Play Store policies. Any changes will be published instantly on this page.
